Parametric climate insurance platform

Climate triggers you can verify. Payouts that arrive when they matter.

ClimaTiqs monitors extreme heat, heavy rainfall, air pollution and cyclones against your policy's parametric triggers every day. It draws on national weather agencies, satellites and global reanalysis, and keeps an audit trail behind every payout.

Perils covered

Built for the climate events that hit livelihoods hardest

Every threshold, window and strike tier comes from your policy, not from code. Configure the cover your partners need, and ClimaTiqs measures it the same way every day.

Extreme heat

Detects runs of consecutive hot days above your temperature threshold. An optional relative-humidity filter separates dangerous humid heat from dry heat.

  • Consecutive-day heat streaks
  • ERA5-Land humidity filter
  • Multiple strike tiers

Excess rainfall

Rolling-window rainfall totals measured against your thresholds, from national gridded data down to 0.05° satellite precipitation.

  • Configurable rolling windows
  • Gauge-calibrated satellite rain
  • Per-location source overrides

Air quality

Daily city AQI taken from the official CPCB bulletin your policy cites. Where the bulletin doesn't cover a site, India's National AQI is computed from CAMS pollutant data instead.

  • Official CPCB daily figures
  • India NAQI methodology
  • Bulletins archived for audit

Tropical cyclone

A dual wind-and-pressure trigger built on JTWC best-track data. Tracks are interpolated exactly across your coverage zones and priced through the policy's indemnity matrix.

  • Wind & central-pressure legs
  • Polygon coverage zones
  • Forecast-based early warning

The platform

Everything from historical data to payout, in one place

ClimaTiqs runs the parametric workflow end to end: historical data extraction, enrolment, daily monitoring, alerts and settlement, with the evidence to back each decision.

Automated trigger engine

Scheduled daily runs evaluate every policy and location against its thresholds. Any number of strike tiers is supported, from Strike 1 to Strike N.

Multi-source fallback

Ordered source chains fill gaps day by day. When a primary feed is late or missing, the next trusted source takes over automatically.

Data-revision reconciliation

Agencies revise past values. ClimaTiqs re-checks a trailing window on its own schedule, so payouts move from provisional to confirmed only once the data has settled.

Audit-ready evidence

Every value records the provider it came from, and source documents such as daily AQI bulletins are stored whole. Any payout can be traced back to its data.

Field enrolment

Agents enrol workers in the field with bank-detail validation, bulk import, CSV export and lookups against existing beneficiary registries.

Payout lifecycle

Track each payout leg by strike tier, from provisional to confirmed, cancelled after a revision, or settled to verified bank accounts.

Instant alerts

Email and Slack notifications go out the moment a trigger is met or a cyclone threatens a covered zone, and alerts can be acknowledged in the dashboard.

Historical data extraction

Pull 20+ years of daily climate history across many sites and sources in one request. You get one clean CSV per location and a side-by-side comparison across sources.

Secure by design

Access is role-based: admins, project managers scoped to their clients, and field agents. Personal data is encrypted, and retention and consent processes align with India's DPDP Act.

How it works

From data to payout in four steps

  1. 01

    Extract

Download decades of daily climate history for your locations across multiple sources, normalised and ready to analyse.

  2. 02

    Enrol

Configure policies, clients and locations, then enrol beneficiaries in the field with bank details validated up front.

  3. 03

    Monitor

Daily automated runs pull data through your source chain and check every location against every trigger.

  4. 04

    Pay out

Triggered events create payouts with full evidence. Reconciliation confirms them once source data is final.

Never miss a day of data

Each peril has an ordered source chain. ClimaTiqs fills gaps day by day, and you can set how long to wait for the primary source before falling back. Every value is tagged with the provider it came from.
